Philosopher and mathematician Bertrand Russell once observed that “fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts.”
A lack of confidence doesn’t indicate a lack of skill or wisdom. It’s a mindset. And, unfortunately, it might be one that’s holding you back and enabling less competent people to get ahead of you.
No matter your level of skill or intelligence, confidence is essential for making the right impression on other people. And that means it’s essential to achieving your career goals. And, ultimately, it’s essential for making your life what you want it to be. When you lack confidence, it’s hard to
- Speak to someone new.
- Ask someone on a date.
- Ask for what you want in a relationship.
- Ask for the raise you deserve.
- Get a promotion.
- Start (or succeed in) a business.
- Perform well in meetings.
- Get noticed for being you.
- Be memorable.
- Go on new adventures.
- Feel in control of your life.
Your lack of confidence might have begun when you were a child. Or perhaps you’ve lost confidence over the years due to life events and struggles. Don’t let a lack of confidence stop you from missing out any longer.
Hypnosis is a natural, convenient, and effective option for developing your confidence. And people most commonly seek it when they want to be more effective in:
- Social interactions.
- Dating and meeting new people.
- Interviews.
- Business presentations.
- Sales.
- Public speaking.
- Public performances.
- And more.
Hypnosis for Confidence Study
A randomized control trial, using self-hypnosis and self-care, conducted by the University of Liège in Belgium, “showed the efficacy” of “hypnosis-based intervention” in boosting self-esteem.
No less than “33% of the improvement of self-esteem and 41.6% of the decrease of emotional distress” in participants was believed to have been facilitated by the hypnosis/mindfulness practices experienced during the trial period.
Participants in the study (who were cancer patients) would meet every two weeks, after performing certain specified tasks at home, and at the end of each bi-weekly meeting, would experience a 15-minute hypnosis exercise. Participants were also encouraged to practice self-hypnosis at home.
